    • New for 2017 - DRGSL has voted and approved to accept all teams from the LANCO Girls Fastpitch League.  The DRGSL also approved accepting the program from Oxford.
    • New DRGSL Associations List: Cocalico, Columbia, Conestoga Valley, Donegal, Elizabethtown, Ephrata, Garden Spot, Hempfield, Manheim Central, Manheim Township, Manor, Mount Joy, OLA, Penn, Pequea Valley, Solanco, St. Joe’s, St. Leo’s, SWS and Warwick
  2. AGE QUALIFICATIONS:
    • 6U – 06/01/2012 to 01/02/2010
    • 8U – 01/01/2010 to 01/02/2008
    • 10U – 01/01/2008 to 01/02/2006
    • 12U – 01/01/2006 to 01/02/2004
    • 14U – 01/01/2004 to 01/02/2002
  3. GAMES & PRACTICES: (All Teams Have Some Away Game Travel)
    • 6U – Sat (Time to be determined)/and One weekday(6-7:30p) at Hempfield for away games (depending on field availability) w/ optional Mon practices
    • 8U – Wed (6-7:30p)/Sat (Time TBD)
    • 10U – Tues/Thurs (6-8p), Optional Sat practice
    • 12U – Mon/Wed (6-8p), Optional Sat practice
    • 14U – Mon/Tues/Thurs/Fri (6-8p), Optional Sat practice
    • Possible - All-Star Games-2 players per Team- last week of June
  4. UNIFORMS:
    • 6U:
      • T-Shirt (included in registration)
      • Black Shorts (Sold at Registration, also available in our Online Store or bought on your own)
    • 8U/10U/12U/14U:
      • Jersey and Royal Blue Softball Socks (included in registration)
      • Black Softball Pants and Royal Blue Belt (Sold at Registration, also available in our Online Store or bought on your own)
  5. AGE LEVEL DESCRIPTION:
    • 6U – Tee-ball turning to Coach Pitch
      • Glove and Cleats required
      • Practice - Parent and Player on Softball Fundamentals
      • Games – Players go one base at a time going through the batting order with last batter running the whole way home each inning
    • 8U – Coach pitch and if they cannot hit the ball the batter get the Tee
      • Uses a 10” Incrediball Softball
      • Glove and cleats required
      • Games – Players go one base at a time and outs count. Either 3 outs or 5 runs each inning
    • 10U – Player Pitch with Coach pitch after 4 balls, NO TEE.
      • Uses a 11” softball
      • Glove and Cleats required
      • Games – Players may steal any base after pitcher releases the ball except third base to home. Either 3 outs or 5 runs.
    • 12U – Player Pitch with A and B levels
      • Uses a 12” softball
      • Glove and Cleats required
      • Games – Players may steal any base. Either 3 outs or 5 runs
    • 14U – Player Pitch with A and B Levels
      • Uses a 12” softball
      • Glove and Cleats required 
      • Games – Players may steal any base. Either 3 outs or 5 runs. 14U-A has no run limit
    • Age Level Waivers
      • Are to move a player from their age group to the next higher age group
      • This is age specific not region specific
      • Parental Consent is needed
      • Coach and Commissioner consent is needed
  6. Provided  Equipment:
    • 6U- Bats, Helmets, and Balls
    • 8U/10U/12U/14U- Bats, Helmets, Catching Equipment and Balls
    • You may also get your own Equipment
  7. Recommended Personal  Protective Equipment(10U/12U/14U):
    • Mouth Piece or Defensive Mask
    • Sliding Shorts
    • Batting Gloves
    • Sunglasses
  8. Parent  Expectations:

  9. Volunteers:
    • All Families will be given time to work in the Concession Stand (it will be your job to find a replacement or switch with another family if that time will not suit your schedule)
    • If  you do not make your shift your coach will be notified and your child will sit the that entire game
    • You must be 18 years of age to work the “Back of the House” in the Concession Stand around hot or dangerous equipment but you can be 11 years old to work the “Front of the House” with parental vision
    • Concession Stand Profit goes directly to softball so let’s make it a great year
  10. Fundraising
    • Sub Sale – April 22 – May 11, Pickup May 24
      • Each player will be required to sell a minimum of 15 subs, sandwiches or frozen goods, unless you have multiple children (2  player = 25 subs)
      • If you choose to Opt-out, it is $30.00 a player or $50.00 for more than one player in the family. Opt-out does not crossover to other sports within the RAA Organization.

    • Tournament – June 10, 11 for 10U/12U
